There were three events scheduled for July but interest\attendance at two of the three was poor.
The main Club meet was our golf afternoon and evening meal at Olton Golf Club. Thanks to Peter Hunt for all his work in organising this. The weather was all that could have been asked for. I must admit I couldn’t understand who scored what and how when it came to the presentation in the evening but those on the “players” table all seemed to have enjoyed themselves. The evening meal went down well with those present and the charge even covered a “free” raffle ticket.
At the event I asked who was looking to be going to the Social event at Stratford Racecourse that coming weekend and due to the lack of interest I emailed out asking if anyone was intending to go but received no replies.
The 5th Wednesday organised by Nick Bridgens did go ahead but the only attendees were Nick, Richard Lewis and myself. As the previous 5th Wednesday was cancelled due to lack of interest I am keen to hear members views regarding the continuation of these events. I will also enquire of Table as we don’t seem to get any Table input into these anymore.
August Bowls Challenge
Our summer bowls challenge against Table is scheduled for Wednesday 14th August at KHCSC. Peter Leeming has already made arrangements and has requested that all those intending to come along contact him in advance, firstname.lastname@example.org, 01789 773122, so he has an idea of numbers. The match will be followed by a bar meal in the Club lounge. Please make an effort to attend if you are around on this date.
Regretfully I have made the decision to cancel Ladies Night. The poll I conducted at our meeting had half a dozen members hoping to attend and a couple more possible. The request for feedback sent out to members did not illicit a single response. With so few members showing an interest I did not feel able to sign the contract and commit to the event. Would those looking to support social events and interaction with Table\Circle\ Tangent please consider the Table\Circle Barn Dance, details of which went out recently.
