10th May 2013

Hi everyone,

Hope you all enjoyed Summer earlier this week and will be well wrapped up again for our meeting next week. Our meeting on the 15th will be for fellowship with a short update on progress with the Moseley 41 Club website. All those needing to book in\out please do so in good time with the houseman, Andy Finch.

Please remember subs. are now due (£25) and can be paid at the meeting or directly into the Club bank account (Moseley 41 Club, 60-08-02, 30121167 with your name as the reference).

I have had a note of thanks from Barbara Picken, Tangent chair, thanking 41 Club for the wine at their AGM, which they all found most welcome!

As mentioned by Table Chair Mark, they are resurrecting the Family day and will have an overnight camp (tents only) on the 18th May and will be at Blackwell Court, Agmore Rd, Blackwell, Bromsgrove B601PX. www.blackwelladventure.co.ukThis is a Scout campsite with lots of green grass, trees and not a great deal else. If anyone is interested in attending please contact Gavin Allbutt on 07815 619405.

Stan Cheeseman is having a run of bad luck, having got over his chest infection he had a fall in the garden on Monday and was taken to the QE where they operated on Tuesday to repair a broken hip. I visited him earlier today, he is in good spirits but unsurprisingly still in pain when he moved. He was about to be transferred to the Bournville ward in the old QE building for rehabilitation, not sure how long he will be kept in.

There is one change to the diary I distributed. Ladies night has moved to Sat 1st March in order to avoid a clash with the pre-arranged party for a significant age event of a certain Mr Hunt.

That’s all for now folks,

Yours In continued friendship

Tony Chesters

Chairman
