19th April 2013
We had an orderly and well conducted AGM, thanks Ian.
All officers reports were received and accepted with little debate (shame on you!), the budget was accepted and membership fees have remained at £25 and should be paid as soon as possible please, either to the Treasurer or direct into the Club bank account (Moseley 41 Club, 60-08-02, 30121167 with your name as the reference).
Please also let Mike have any changes to your details for our directory ASAP if you have not already done so.
Due to increased staff and food costs the price of our meal has increased by £1 to £19 for the forthcoming year.
The post holders as proposed at the hustings were accepted unanimously and the additional post of Fellowship Officer was added. I also explained that I was going to have a Club President, a post common in other 41 Clubs but one Moseley had not elected in the past. Stan Cheeseman has agreed to be my President for the year, unfortunately Stan has had to go into the QE for tests and investigations due to a flair up of the chest infection he had earlier in the year but I hope we will see him at our next meeting. Your officers for the year are:
Vice Chair – Nick Bridgens
Hon. Treasurer – Mike Foley
Hon. Secretary – Richard Lewis
Houseman – Andy Finch
Tanget Co-ordinator – Chris Gascoigne
Fellowship Officer – Ian Brown
Hon. Auditors – Ken Bethell & Roger Wormington
I am including a copy of the programme for the year, which will build on regular meetings and fellowship, both with Table and other 41 Clubs in our area. As well as our 3rd Wednesday meetings we will also be taking over the reigns for the organisation of 5th Wednesdays. We had volunteers on the night for 3 of the 4 dates along with a suggestion that John Haines organises the remaining date as he had forgot to attend the AGM!
I have also added a couple of social events and a Ladies Night, I hope these will attract the support of both 41 Club and Table.
We are also looking to continue with the weekend away and as no-one else offered to organise Richard Lewis has agreed to investigate accommodation options for a visit to North Wales, as he and Bill were looking to visit Frank Griffiths in the near future. On the night 5 members indicated a interest in going along.
That’s all for now folks,
Yours In continued friendship
